Just writing this down for whomever cares.... Death has been on my mind a bit today. No real reason why. I decided I needed to get this feeling out in the form of Art, also knowing that this one would probably take a poem as well. I boot up good old Midjourney, when prompted, I just roll my face on the keyboard until it beeps. When I look up, the image and poem are posted to DA. The End.... Okay, okay. Ai art isn't quite that easy ;). After I open MJ, I type in a few thoughts of death. "Darkness", "Death spiral", etc. Some cool images come up, but nothing quite satiates the feeling I'm having. So I try adding some of my favorite artists in the mix (Raymond Swanland, Todd Mcfarlane, Noah Bradley, Tom Bagshaw)... Tried mixing things up with --chaos settings as well. Cool images, but still none of the right ones. So I sit back and think to myself what death is kind of like. It's kind of like a door that we all most go through. But where would this door be? Journey Through AI Art Creation In the fascinating world of AI art, the blending of imagination and technology opens up unparalleled avenues for creativity. I'm excited to share a glimpse into my creative process, showcasing how I combine traditional artistry with the cutting-edge capabilities of AI to breathe life into my visions. Starting Point: The Fusion of Two Worlds My journey began with two pieces from my existing portfolio. These artworks, each unique in its essence, served as the foundation for my new creation. The result was intriguing, capturing the best elements of both originals, yet it was not without its imperfections. Particularly, the representation of the face and hands fell short of my vision. Refinement Through AI: To address the flaws, I turned to Dalle 2 / Stable Diffusion, focusing on the face and hands. With the aid of the

In the digital art community, particularly on platforms like DeviantArt (DA), there's a growing debate over the use of AI in art creation and the proposal of implementing #Ai tags for artworks generated through artificial intelligence. This suggestion aims to allow users to filter AI-generated art from their feeds, hoping to preserve a space for traditional art. However, this approach presents several challenges and might not be as effective as proponents hope. Here’s an in-depth analysis of why the #Ai tagging strategy might fall short and a proposal for a more viable solution. Challenges with #Ai Tagging Sheer Volume of AI-Generated Art: The influx of AI artists and artworks is overwhelming, with the ratio of AI to traditional artists growing daily. This makes it practically impossible to ensure every new AI artwork is tagged appropriately, even with concerted efforts. Subjectivity in Tagging: Tags serve various purposes for different users— from organizing work to describing the
